Interview room

You said you build with agents, and someone paid to doubt you is pushing on it. Rehearsing here won’t make it true. It shows you what you can’t yet back up.

Question 160 to goGentle0:00

Walk me through the last feature an agent built for you. What did you ask for, and what did you change afterwards?

What you type stays on this page and is gone when the question changes. Nothing is sent anywhere.

What this room can’t do

It can’t give you a thing to say. Rehearsing a line isn’t the same as having done the work, and a line with nothing behind it usually lasts until the second question. After that, they stop believing the things that are true.

What it can do is show you where you stop, before someone else finds out. Then go and do the drill, and come back with something to open. The chapter behind all of this is The proof.

Check the rules before you bring any of this into a real process. Anthropic, for one, encourages using Claude to prepare, and lists using it to create experience you don’t have as not allowed. The clock’s two minutes is our rule of thumb, and no source gives it.

How far to trust the questions

Nobody has published their question list. Here are all 60 of ours, and where each one comes from.

Asked verbatimThese are a named source’s own words, put as a question to the candidate.

From a published criterionA named source publishes this as something it assesses, or gives these words to a good candidate. Putting it to you as a question is our step.

Our own reasoningWe wrote this. Nobody has said an interviewer asks it.

Our research first tagged seven questions as quoted, all from Richard Ewing’s article. On reading it closely, two of those are his interviewer speaking, and five are what his high-scoring candidate says. Those five are marked as a criterion here, and each one says so. Even the verbatim ones are one author’s proposal or one company’s list, and Ewing sells a tool built on his.

The tag covers the question and nothing else. Every weak answer, strong answer, follow-up and piece of evidence is our own writing. We found no employer saying which artefact persuades them, so what to put on the screen is our suggestion.
