Working directory
Also called Current directory, cwd, pwd, cd
The folder a shell is standing in right now. Relative paths start from here. pwd prints it and cd changes it. Every process has its own, so a cd inside a script doesn't move the shell you started it from.
A lot of agent trouble is the right command in the wrong folder: things installed at the wrong level of a project, or the wrong folder deleted. Agent tools also differ on whether a cd sticks between commands, so have it print where it is.

“Run this from apps/web, not the project root. Write it as cd apps/web && pwd && bun test, and paste all of the output.”
